A holiday at the Marenklhof means relaxation, recharging your batteries, awakening your spirits and arriving as a guest and leaving as a friend.
We, the Thomaser family, have been offering our guests carefree and relaxing holidays in every season for over 40 years. Our dairy farm is located in a sunny spot away from the traffic on the outskirts of Taisten Tesido (1,212 m) in South Tyrol's Alta Pusteria valley.
Whether as a couple, with friends or family, the Marenklhof is a great starting point for all your sporting activities.

Nestled in the beautiful natural surroundings of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, with views of the mountains of Casies and Braies we live the everyday life of farmers and are happy to share all this with our guests.
Our mountain farm, a genuine ancestral farm with a rich history, rustic, romantic and tranquil, located in the sunny village of Taisten/Tesido, offers ideal conditions for spending your holiday in absolute peace and relaxation thanks to its warmth and natural surroundings.
Spring, summer, mountains: experiences right on your doorstep
In spring, watch nature awaken, hear the first birdsong and explore the nearby meadows and forests on short walks. In summer, go on leisurely hikes to rustic alpine huts, experience ‘Kneipp therapy’ in the crystal-clear mountain water just a few minutes' walk away, or enjoy challenging mountain tours in the mountains of Tesido and Braies. Taisten/Tesido and the Puster Valley are also a paradise for cyclists. Whether you prefer to use your own muscle power or take it easy on an e-bike, you will find varied routes, spectacular views and charming valleys here.
Autumn magic in Taisten – clear views, vibrant colors, pure nature
When the days get shorter and autumn arrives with its colourful splendour, many enjoy the clear view of the magnificent peaks in the surrounding area. The Taisten Legend Trail is a popular hiking trail for young and old alike. The world-famous Three Peaks are breathtaking and can be reached from Taisten/Tesido in half an hour.
Fresh tracks in the snow – unforgettable moments on a winter holiday
With the rising morning sun, hear the crunching snow beneath your cross-country skis right outside the farm, explore the Kronplatz (approx. 10 minutes away) and the ski world Tre Cime Dolomites (approx. 20 minutes away), climb lonely mountain peaks with touring skis or enjoy a fun toboggan ride with a stop for refreshments – that's what a winter holiday with us offers.

A peaceful children's paradise or an active holiday full of experiences
On our spacious grounds around the farm, children can romp and play carefree, watch our cows in the barn, pet the farm cats and become real animal lovers. Watch retired farmer Peter milking the cows or take a spin in farmer Egon's big tractor. Your children will become little explorers and experience many adventures, actively sliding, swinging or jumping on the trampoline in our children's playground, or taking their first turns in the winter snow alongside experienced ski instructors at the local Guggenberg lift.
In the meantime, the ‘grown-ups’ can relax on our lawn or enjoy the cool shade on the sun-protected terrace, round off the day under the starry sky with a cosy barbecue evening, or enjoy the farm's own delicacies from farmer Martina and the fresh herbs from our herb garden.
Getting up early – not always necessary! We offer our product basket all year round, which can be filled as desired and will be waiting at your apartment door in the morning for a delicious breakfast.
Everything you need is close by
The bus stop for the journey to the town of Welsberg, the bank, the tourist information point and the small grocery store for your daily shopping are only a few minutes' walk away.
A leisurely stroll through the village takes you past cultural sights such as the 800-year-old St. George's Church, Taisten’s parish church, the „Bildstöckl“ or the Thurn ruins, as well as Welsperg Castle, an old count's residence with a magnificent view of mount Dürrenstein in the Braies Dolomites.
Stay active and simply experience the sporting diversity that our alpine habitat offers all year round.
